Cooking the hemp way
Here at Good Hemp we understand that when it comes to healthy eating it can be a complete minefield, which is why we’ve pulled together a handful of our top tips on how just a few small changes to the way you cook can make a big difference…
.) Have you noticed yourself starting to feel bloated after your morning bowl of cereal? Well with up to 45% of the UK population now suffering from some level of food intolerance, why not try swapping out dairy for Good Hemp Milk. Not only is it deliciously creamy but it’s also full of 'good-for-you' Omega 3!
.) Adding Hemp Seed Hearts to any of your favourite baking recipes, will not only add flavour, but also increase the nutritional value. Just one 20g serving contains more protein and Omegas than the same serving of Chia or Flax seeds.
.) A quick & easy way to add a bit of zest to any salad is with a drizzle of pesto. Made using our Good Hemp Oil & Seeds, our pesto recipe is delicious and full of Omega 3, 6 & 9.
.) Craving a guilt-free treat? Check out our sweet potato protein brownies. Made using our Good Hemp Pure Protein & Hemp Seed Hearts they’re packed full of good stuff and are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
.) Have a go at making your own butter using hemp oil – it’s much lower in saturated fat compared to other butters and even olive oil.
.) Let’s face it, no film night is complete without popcorn. Containing all the goodness of Good Hemp Milk, Good Hemp Seeds and Good Hemp Oil, our recipe for salted caramel popcorn makes an indulgent treat with an added helping of hemp goodness.
.) Just a small sprinkling of Hemp Seed Hearts on cheese on toast adds a nutty flavour as well as topping up your protein levels.
.) Hemp seeds & oil teamed with breadcrumbs, basil and parmesan also make a delicious coating for fish based recipes, as used in our salmon & herb crust recipe.
